Postcards from the Womb

19 weeks today...

At 19 weeks my body is covered in a thin, down-like hair called lanugo, which keeps me all warm and cozy. A cheezy, white coating called vernix caseosa, or cheesy varnish, is also forming all over my body. This will keep me from shriveling up like a prune after spending 9 months under water. I still have plenty of room to move about freely within the confines of the amniotic sac, which I do quite often. Especially at night.
